The Bayeux Tapestry museum is open to the public every day of the week, throughout the year, with the exception of a few days each December and January when it closes.

To allow visitors to discover their national heritage in the most agreeable conditions, the Town of Bayeux has adopted a set of rules that the public should comply with.
Booking service
The booking service deals with group access to make everyone’s visit a pleasant one. Groups who have booked for the Tapestry visit only (without the other floors) have priority access to the gallery. Requests for information or reservations are dealt with rapidly, by a bilingual person, by telephone, fax or email. Link to booking form.
Your arrival
The "Parc Michel d'Ornano" is specially laid out for groups in coaches. Parking is free for vehicles and has facilities for drivers. The car park gives direct access to the museum.
The Bayeux Tapestry is indicated throughout the town, and near the museum itself, with two types of signpost: one for pedestrians and the other for motorists, easily to identify with their different logos. View plan of access to the Bayeux Tapestry museum.
