Welcome to the museum

Prepare your visit:

The Bayeux Tapestry Museum is open to the public every day of the week (except nine days for the annual closure). Opening hours vary according to the season. NB: the ticket office closes 45 minutes before the museum. To plan your visit, you can consult:

To allow visitors to discover their national heritage in the most agreeable conditions, the Town of Bayeux has adopted a set of rules that the public should comply with.

Your arrival

The "Parc Michel d'Ornano" is specifically reserved for free parking for vehicles. It is equipped with public conveniences and a shaded picnic area. The car park gives direct access to the museum.

The Bayeux Tapestry is indicated throughout the town, and near the museum itself, with two types of signpost: one for pedestrians and the other for motorists, easily to identify with their different logos. View plan of access to the Bayeux Tapestry museum.
