
Getting to Bayeux
Just a stone’s throw away from the Normandy beaches famous for the 1944 landings, between Paris and the Mont St Michel, the capital of the Bessin area bids you welcome.
* By car: Direct access by motorway, A13 and A84, then the N13.
* By train: Bayeux is on the Paris-St Lazare – Cherbourg line. Paris-Bayeux direct in 2 hours. Train station is 700m from the museum.
* By plane: Caen-Carpiquet airport (20km)
* Car ferry: Port of Ouistreham (30km)
There are buses to Bayeux from Caen and Ouistreham: the green bus line.

Driving around Bayeux
The Bayeux Tapestry is indicated all over the town, and near the museum, with two types of signpost: one for pedestrians and another for cars, easy to identify with their distinctive logos.
Parking
There are numerous car parks in different parts of the town.
The "Parc Michel d'Ornano" is the best car park for getting to the museum. It has about a hundred spaces and is free. There are plenty of public toilets and a picnic area.
For touring companies, thirty spaces are reserved for coaches with an area for washing and oil changing, and a space for drivers to relax.
